Bookmooch – Watch out it can be addicting

Today is my birthday, so I thought I would give you one of my best freebie ideas.  I found this a few weeks ago and just love it.  The concept is that you register with this company for free and list any books that you want to give away.  You also list any books that you want.

They let you know by email if someone wants your book.  Then you ship the book to the person and get points for giving the book away.  When one of your wanted books becomes available the book is shipped to you free of charge as long as you have accumulated enough points.  So the only cost to you is the cost of shipping the books to people that want your books.

Virtual Tour – How they Make Churros

Here’s an interesting site that shows you how they make Churros.  I had never heard of these before.  Now I know that they are a Spanish treat.  They seem like the American version of a funnel cake.  They are long and tube-like and can be filled with yummy filling too.  They are then rolled in a sugar/cinnamon mixture.

Watching this video might give you the incredible urge to have one of these, so I have included some sites that have recipes for Churros as well:))

You can choose the java or non-java version when viewing this site.  Here’s a quote from the site: “We suggest you begin your journey with Penny, following through to Dollar Bill, then Interest Ray, Checks, and lastly Mr. EFT. Each chapter ends with an introduction to the next character, so you need not return home to access the next area of the story. Each chapter can also be read independently of the others, allowing you greater flexibility in accessing information about one particular topic.

Lost my brain in August

I just realized that I didn’t make a single post in August.  Between garden produce coming in and preparing for the new school year, I guess I ran out of time.   September will be better.  I have lots of good content to share with you, so hold on to your hats!
