Cerebellum Corporation

I had the privilege of reviewing the Cerebellum Corporation AP learning video. The one I received was called Light Speed US Government and Politics. They provide lots of DVDs but have launched a new series specifically for students preparing for the AP exams in the Spring called Light Speed Video Learning.

I received 2 disks. One disc was the 73 minute DVD and the other disk contained a pdf  file of worksheets and handouts along with answers.

The DVD covered what is on the test, what types of questions will be asked and how many of each, how much time you have for each section, strategies for taking the test, helps with writing, and explained all 30 topics that could be covered in the exam.

There are teen actors used in this DVD and the video moves along pretty quickly from one student to another still giving you great content. The graphics are simple and interesting and the students presenting the material are all pretty likeable.

The majority of the video is comprised of 30 topics in 30 minutes. They cover all the topics that could be on the US Government and Politics test and explain what they mean.

The second disk with the PDF file on it gives you worksheets and handouts that you can also use in preparing for the exam. There are examples of true/false, multiple choice, fill in, and free response questions. The best part is that the answers are all included too.

There are 4 subject areas in all that you can get from Cerebellum – English Composition and Language, US Government and Politics (the one I received), Chemistry, and US History.

I like this video because it can help students with just about any type of learning style. If they like visuals or auditory learning, those are definitely covered here.

If your child is trying to earn college credit by taking the Advanced Placement tests for college boards, then Cerebellum Corporation’s Light Speed Learning DVDs could be just what they need to get them prepared.

Until the end of the year you can get these great videos for 20% off. Their retail price is $14.98, so the sale price would be $11.24. You can use the coupon code “OSH20″ to get the discount.
