College From Home
College from home is a concept that is gaining more and more popularity. We homeschool our children up through High School, why not keep going?
With the Internet almost anything is possible these days. You can order your groceries online, do your banking online and now you can go to college too! There are many advertisements for getting your college degree, but the only reputable one that I would trust is a Christian coaching program called College Plus.
They not only give you the tools to get classes and get your degree, but they start way before that. They start with phone consultations with you or your child (whoever is the one wanting the degree). They work with the student and help them assess what degree they want to pursue. Then they help you learn how to study and write and take classes so that you will have the greatest success possible.
Finding a college that takes credit by exam can be a daunting task. That’s why it’s so much easier to just use this coaching program and let them guide you through the process.
Students can spend their last 2 years of High School earning college credit while using those same courses as their High School course of study. High Schools do it all the time now, why can’t homeschoolers do it too? Who would have thought you could get your college degree for under $15,000….. That’s exactly what College Plus helps you do. Who wants to be saddled with $100,000 or more of college debt?
If you just want to earn some college credit in your college from home course, then you can use College Plus for that too. You’ll still save tons of money on college and be able to experience the on-campus setting if you like.
Here’s a quote from their site about exactly what College Plus has to offer: “CollegePlus! is a Christian based coaching and mentoring program that provides students with an innovative approach to earning their fully accredited bachelor’s degrees in less time and at a fraction of the cost.”
Hopefully this post has opened your mind to the fact that college from home is possible whether you choose to pursue your whole degree there or just take some college classes.

MIT is actually offering their entire curriculum online…for free! You wouldn’t actually gain a degree by using their materials, but you’d have the knowledge. Check it out, http://ocw.mit.edu/OcwWeb/web/home/home/index.htm
