College Prep Genius Review

In Ohio we can take the ACT or SAT. It seems that the ACT is more popular, although some students take both tests. I was able to review a program called College Prep Genius. It is a full course developed by a homeschool Mom on how to score well on the SAT.
The course includes 10 hours of interactive DVDs (4 included) along with a workbook and course guide. This guide can also be used to help raise scores for the PSAT and NMSQT tests.
The author encourages you to read over the course guide several times, memorize her acronyms and practice tests. There are lots more tips in the book on even more ways to increase your chances of getting a better score.
Her basic premise is that the time you spend working through this course could earn you quite a bit of scholarship money for your efforts. If you spend 150 hours on this and earn $75,000 in scholarships, then you will have made $500 per hour for your efforts. Both her children have worked through this system and one received $140,000 in scholarships and the other one received multiple full scholarships.
If your children are motivated to get scholarship money and get a good SAT grade, then this course is definitely for them. If your child is not motivated to go to college or doesn’t care what kind of grade they get on their tests, then you will probably be frustrated. This course requires that the student put forth some effort in reading, watching and memorizing acronyms.
I had my oldest daughter read over this book since she will be taking the ACT test tomorrow. I don’t know the differences between the 2 tests, so I didn’t want to confuse her too much. She had NO interest in memorizing all the acronyms which I didn’t make her do since she was taking a different test. I think it helped her get a better idea how these kinds of tests work. I’ll post more next month after we get some test results back.
Right now you can get a 30% discount on College Prep Genius for just $79. I’m not sure how long this special will be available, so you might want to get it right away. It might pay you many times over in college scholarships if your child uses this program. She even offers a 100% money back guarantee in the first 30 days. Definitely a no-lose deal for the consumer.
