Critical Thinking Company

The Critical Thinking Company gave me a review copy of Language Smarts Level C to look over. They say that it is for grade 2. I would say that age assessment is accurate since it was neither too hard or too easy for my 8 year old son.

The Language Smarts book covers Language Arts, vocabulary, reading, writing, punctuation, grammar, parts of speech, and lots of other aspects of a second grade language workbook.

The pages are colorful and inviting. It’s quite a large book with 314 pages, so your child would want to do more than just one page a day if they want to finish the book in one school year.

My son liked the colorful pages and I felt that it was a good challenge for him, but not too hard most of the time. We both liked the fact that the pages were varied. You didn’t have page after page of nouns or any one subject. They got to the point, taught them what they needed to know and had another interesting page the next day.

Language Smarts Level C is $39.99 and would certainly provide you all the Language Arts practice you would need for a year. That’s quite a good deal compared to what you could pay for a Language program.
