Even More Internet Field Trips
Are you ready for even more Internet field trips? Ready or not – here they are.
Coca-Cola Virtual Tour - Did you know that there is a Coca Cola plant in Indonesia? This site gives you a tour of that plant. When you flip through the pages you will see the processes involved in making Coke – storage, mixing, washing, filling and capping, coding, inspection, packaging, and loading. The site also shows many Coca Cola commercials and some Coke games.
Video Interviews with famous people - Conversations with History has compiled this list of You Tube videos and have classified them by recent interviews, interviews by name and interviews by topic. What a way for History to come alive. Most of the people on this site are writers, historians, statesmen and professors. I didn’t see too many famous people listed, but I’m sure there is still plenty of History to explore here.
Free Video Art Lessons – Click on “Hey Look” to access Mark Kistler’s 4 free video art instructions. There are 4 videos here that change occassionally. He talks right to the student in a very encouraging and easy-going tone. He believes that it is important for students to learn how to draw in 3-D because it helps develop their critical thinking skills. His Mini Marshmallow site has even more free videos. I’m guess these are for younger students. Just when you thought you couldn’t get anymore, he has still another site with online drawing lessons. This site certainly has all the 3-D art instructions that you need. You can also sign up for his paid art courses, but he offers so much free stuff that you almost don’t need to. What a great way for you to see if your kids like this kind of instruction before you decide to buy a book or video.
I think I can find even more Internet field trips for my next post. There is so much to see and learn on the Internet!
