Lobster Network
If you’re looking for a free place to borrow or lend materials, then Lobster Network might be the place for you. On this site you can post all the items that you are willing to lend out to your select group on the network. You can also search what the other people in your network have to lend all for free!
When someone finds something they want to borrow from you, they just click and request it. Lobster Network sends you a message that this person wants to borrow something and that you need to take it to them when you see them again. The best part about this system is that when the allotted time period is up, Lobster sends both of you a message saying that it’s time to give the item back.
This would be a great tool for a homeschool support group or coop to use between their members. It’s all online, but it’s all secure because you have to be invited to join the group.
This could also be used by a support group or coop lending library. If your group has a collection of materials to lend, but want to keep better track of who has what and when it was taken out, then this program should help you do that with ease.
If you want to catalog your own items and keep track of your personal inventory of books and materials, then you can use this system too. You then have an easy catalog showing you exactly what you have and it’s searchable too! This could really come in handy when you are wondering whether you have a certain book or not, but you don’t want to have to search through all your book shelves.
The options available on Lobster Network are to lend, sell, trade, list wanted items, or give a way for free. You can list as little or as much detail as you want.
If you find an item on a friend’s page that you want to borrow, all you have to do is click on the “I want to borrow” button and that person instantly knows you want to borrow their item.
All you have to do to get on Lobster Network is go to their site and sign up for a free account. Then invite the other members of your group and start trading away!
As a member of the Homeschool Crew, I was given this product to review. I was not paid for this post and do not have to return the product to the vendor. The opinions expressed in this post are those of the blog owner (me).
